The sdgm package is used to teach the intro to machine learning course. This is a course for epidemiology and medical students (i.e., not computer scientists), and is focused on good modeling practices and interpretation of the results. We are making it available to the community as it may be useful to other research groups.
We also use the package to run experiments on different approaches to modeling. If you have suggestions for improvements please let us know so that this can be a useful resource to the community.
